My blog friend Heidi has been doing a weekly post called "Highs and Lows." In these posts, she talks briefly about the wonderful things and the not so wonderful events of her week. What I like about this is its honesty...we never have a fully perfect week. So to acknowledge both the highs and the lows, we acknowledge all the things that make us who we are...good and bad. So, here are my highs and lows for the past week. Stop by Heidi's blog to participate!
Highs
Canning pickles with my husband...we made bread and butter pickles-his favorite-on Monday while Builder Boy had a sleepover at my parents' house. I was delighted by his help in the kitchen!
Going to Idlewild with one of my best friends and my goddaughter...and watching our two kids get along (and sometimes not get along) so well.
Spending some perfect summer days outside with our neighbors since summer weather finally arrived!
Lows
Being hooked up to a Holter monitor for 24 hours (and embarrassing myself by showing you my chubby belly...and yes, I AM trying to suck it in...)
NOT spending enough quality time with my Builder Boy this past week...or the past summer...or his entire life...
Spending my last week before school starts not getting enough done and feeling just as stressed as at the end of last school year.
