Seven is kind of a big number here.
Remodel Man is the youngest of seven children.
Builder Boy is the seventh grandchild.
My classroom is number seven.
The star quarterback of our hometown football team is number seven.
We're kind of fond of number seven. And we're really hoping that our luck continues with the number seven.
'Cause I'm on my seventh pregnancy.
Numbers 2-6 didn't turn out so well. This time around, though, things just might be looking up for us. The doctor used words like, "textbook" and "perfect." I have had so many ultrasounds I have been able to see the growth of a fetus from two post conception to now. I heard the heartbeat at just 5 1/2 weeks. I was released from my fertility doctor's care to a regulary old OB. On Thursday, I will be 13 weeks.
To say we are in shock would be the understatement of the year. We were officially done. In June, we had a garage sale to sell our baby stuff...and sell we did. More than half of our things. We were planning an anniversary trip to the Kentucky distilleries. We had found peace with our family of three. We had officially moved on. Started a new journey.
Make plans and God laughs.
So here we are. Pregnant because one weekend when we thought we were in the safe zone, we were not. (Thank you late ovulation!) We are being cautiously optimistic, but we still no the risks, even at this point in the pregnancy.
OH, and did I mention that in less than two weeks, I'm going to be 40?! and I'm pregnant?!
Wow.
