Black Belt Mama

Because I heard the whole story, I just have to say that I agree completely with you. Kids learn no self-responsibility these days, and we are constantly striving to make them "feel good about themselves" in education. Whatever happened to truth and learning from mistakes? Unfortunately, kids these days know very little about that and parents just don't seem to want to teach it themselves. It's a difficult time to be an educator.

Reason number 5,698,737,654, I didn't become a teacher. Oh, don't get me wrong, I completed most of the education for it. Think all but student teaching. Kicking myself now because I didn't finish (so I would have a degree.) I just couldn't handle the SYSTEM. It felt so toxic to me.

I hope things work out the way you want them to.
